Description
Dogs are allowed at Seneca Creek State Park, made up of 6,300 acres that extend along 14 scenic miles of Seneca Creek towards the Potomac River. There's an astonishing 50 miles of hiking trails around this park for you and Fido to enjoy, spreading out through a variety of woodland. The main hub of the Schaeffer Farm Trail System can also be found within the park, extending into most of the upcounty area with lots of loops that link the Seneca, Muddy Branch, and Potomac watersheds. One of the main attractions of the park is the 90-acre Clopper Lake, surrounded by forests and fields. Dogs are welcome throughout the park on a leash if owners clean up any mess that they leave behind. The park is open from 8am to sunset from March to October and 10am to sunset from November to February.
