Beach at Sullivans Island review in Charleston, South Carolina

Sullivan's Island is pet-friendly. All dogs on Sullivan Island, including day visitors and vacation renters, must have a town-issued dog permit to visit the island, including the beach based on a January to December schedule. Town Hall, located at 2056 Middle St, issues annual permits for $35 per dog if you're a resident and $50 for non-residents. Completed applications and proof of valid rabies vaccination are required for permit. The beach is open for off-leash dogs from 5am to 10pm and on-leash from 6pm to 5am from May 1 through Septermber 30. Dogs are not permitted on the beach between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm during summer. The winter hours are 5am to 12pm for off-leash dogs and 12pm to 5am for dogs on a leash from October 1 through May 30. Dogs are permitted all day, every day during the winter months.
